Pastor Roy Miles and his wife Kathy have been pastoring at Staples Assembly of God since October 1982. They have raised 10 children and are the proud grandparents of 13 grandchildren.
Pastor Miles grew up in Wisconsin (Yes, he is a Packer fan!). He was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit at the age of 19, at which point God did an amazing miracle in his family....within a week his father, mother, and three sibling were all saved and filled with the Holy Spirit as well! Because of this transformation in their family, the plans he had made to be an industrial arts teacher drastically changed. He enrolled at North Central Bible College (now North Central University) "just to see if maybe God could use him". Though he had a terrible fear of speaking and reading in front of even a few people, the Holy Spirit urged him to continue on. He met his wife Kathy at college and they were married in 1972.
Pastor Roy and Kathy have also pastored at Full Gospel Temple in Minneapolis, Minnesota (2 years) and Karlstad, Minnesota (7 years).
Pastor Miles has a heart to see families serving the Lord whole-heartedly together. He has a special passion for Missions around the world (including the U.S.) and has led our church to "give God a chance" in our giving. Our church family has seen God do so many amazing miracles in the area of giving that we cannot help but expect more!
